So here we are, ending the first quarter of our inaugural year.

How did we do?

Businesses typically keep score using fancy things called "numbers", so perhaps we should start there.

In the first 3 months,

We helped 22 students become their best testing selves.

We held 2 free webinars that will be accessible to almost 400 students, many of them lacking the resources to pay for formal preparation.

One of our students received a 32 out of 36 on the ACT.

A second student received a 33 out of 36 on the ACT.

A third received 1400 out of 1600 on the SAT.

Average # of hours tutoring each one? NINE.

But as with all things,

We should also focus on the stuff you can't measure with a calculator.

We established that there is a great demand for what we offer in a relatively crowded marketplace.

We learned that there is life, solvency and security outside the corporate world.

And most importantly, we learned that walks to the playground, movies in the daytime and waking with no alarm clocks is an amazing way to live life.

Things have gone better than we could have possibly imagined and it's exciting to remind ourselves that we're just getting started.
